Farina

Farina: A waxy film that forms on select dragon fruit cultivars. This coating protects growth from moisture, as it rolls right off, helping to resist topical pathogens. It also acts like a sunblock that both protects new growth from burning, but also insulates during cold snaps as well.
It tends to form on the tips and underside of branches typically but can cover the entire branches in some cultivars. If one of your hybrids ends up with this on its branches, you scored a big win. Keep an eye out for this incredible trait!
